The GRS hunter light stock is 25% lighter than all other GRS laminate models, and it is perfect for all hunters looking for the most lightweight setup possible! It's the newest model we have developed but still comes, of course, with our standard push-button cheek piece adjustment.
The stock has a slightly slimmer grip and is five percent shorter than the other GRS stocks, making it preferable to reindeer hunters and younger hunters, among others. Our newest addition to the Hunter Light selection is the CZ 457 inlet, and there is more to come; we will soon be launching more inlets! You will find them on the website as soon as they are released.

Still, hunting is so much more than the shot and harvesting animals.
It is about family, traditions and last but not least, food. The parting and preservation of the meat are often knowledge passed on for generations, just as the family recipes taught at the kitchen counter and approved by the whole family gathered around the dinner table.
At GRS, our favorite reindeer casserole recipe is made like this:
750g reindeer meat
250g of your favorite fresh mushrooms
150g bacon
3-4 tablespoon butter or oil for frying
1 onion
4dl stock
3dl sour cream
1dl full milk or cream
5 juniper berries, crushed
1/2 teaspoon of thyme, dried
½-1 teaspoon salt
Pepper
Lingonberry jam
How do you do it?
Cut the meat, bacon, and mushrooms into bite-size pieces and brown in an iron casserole over high heat. Add the chopped onion and mushrooms towards the end. Add the stock, and let simmer for 15 minutes. Add sour cream, milk, juniper berries, and thyme, and let simmer for 10 minutes. Taste with freshly ground salt and pepper before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam on the side.
